Samata Shikshan Sanstha runs the Anand Ashram Shala and hostels at Talegaon      Dhamdhere in Pune District. The school has classes from 1st to 7th standard. Our      children go to the village secondary school for further education. We have      around 250 boys and girls at the Anand Ashram Shala. We get maintenance      grants from the government of Maharashtra. For our value added programmes      such as computer and English learning, vocational trainngs etc., we are grateful      to recieve corporate and private grants from donors like Tech Mahindra      Foundation and Tata Motors.

 We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff of 6 teachers and other non-teaching      staff who are employed as per the State Govt rules. We also have a trained full-      time counsellor to look after the emotional well-being of our children.

 With the efficient running of the wind-mill and solar and bio-gas system, as also      with the different programmes conducted in our school all through the year, it      has become a role model for the schools in the surrounding area.

 Every year, we get hundreds of visitors not only from the surrounding area, but      also from the US-India exchange students who come for a few weeks in Pune.
